Product Description

Cast-in Rail shoulders

Cast-in Rail shoulders are prefabricated pieces in concrete sleepers, either single or double, used to secure elastic rails within a fastening system, mainly electronic fastenings.

Cast iron shoulders are cast in iron; this shoulder is pre-embedded in concrete sleepers and used together with elastic clips to fix the rails.

Weld-on shoulders are designed to be used in special trackwork locations that do not permit the use of the standard tie plates. Switches, scales, steel structures, and maintenance facilities are just some of the applications of this steel shoulder.

Generally used on a flat steel plate, these shoulders are beveled to facilitate welding. Weld-on shoulders are designed to provide optimum lateral resistance and maximum clip-toe load. They can be designed for all rail sizes and are readily available in commonly used standard rail sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the primary function of a rail shoulder?
Rail shoulders are used to secure elastic rail clips within a fastening system, providing lateral resistance and maintaining track gauge.
What materials are typically used for rail shoulders?
They are commonly manufactured from ductile iron grades such as QT500-7, QT450-10, or QT400-15 to ensure high tensile strength and durability.
When should I use weld-on shoulders instead of cast-in ones?
Weld-on shoulders are ideal for special trackwork locations like switches, scales, and steel structures where standard tie plates cannot be used.
Are your rail shoulders compatible with international standards?
Yes, our products are designed to meet various specifications including 115RE, 136RE, UIC54, UIC60, 54E1, and 60E1.
What is your monthly production capacity for these components?
We have a production capacity of up to 500,000 pieces per month to meet large-scale railway construction demands.
Can the surface finish or color be customized?
Yes, while natural finish is standard, we can provide customized surface treatments and colors based on client requirements.
